The Saltwater Sangha, is the Santa Cruz home of the Pacific Zen Institute. We offer a quiet and inviting space for meditation, Koan study, conversation, poetry and art. John Tarrant, Roshi, founder of the Pacific Zen Institute is one of the most innovative Koan teachers in the country. We meet every Wednesday night from 6:00 - 7:45 PM. Not because it is hard work, but because it is beautiful and we love it...seeing, experiencing and feeling what it's really like to be human, what the world and our connection to it is really like...it's a beautiful thing."
